| Tiivistelmä: | Size and structure of nominal protection in countries of black Africa and their impact on export is investigated. Tariffs are relatively high and non-tariff barriers frequent compared to other developing countries. A model of partial equilibrium predicts that it causes a 15-33 % reduction of export volume and hinders export diversification. |
