| Tiivistelmä: | Due to the pressure of green movements, the activity of the airport of Düsseldorf is strongly restricted. This means considerable losses, because some air companies have already withdrawn from using the airport of Düsseldorf, and businessmen must make way for Frankfurt or Amsterdam that means a loss of 2 to 3 hours. The goal of the environmentalist is to hinder the use of long runways. The article examines the recent situation, presents the arguments for and against the use of airports and describes the main characteristics of 8 German airports. A concise study is provided which presents the question from the point of view of an environmentalist. |
