| Tiivistelmä: | The paper deals with the current restructuring of the manufacturing sector in Slovenia.The main questions which should be addressed in the process of rehabilitation of industrial enterprises are as follows: - the education of managerial staff and permanent training of the employees according to the needs of industrial enterprises; - infrastructure which wouldd support small business enterprises; - improvement of marketing practises in industry; - elimination of deficiencies in the quality control procedures; - achievement of a critical mas in the production process, in the number of research staff, and marketing specialists and the level of R&D expenditure; - improvement of the capital structure within enterprises (also by means of tax policy measures); - finding the way to win people's confidence in the Slovenian business management, banking system, national currency and other financial instruments issued by the enterprises and financial institutions; - finding the way to link industrial and R&D policy to support the economic restructuring process; - the internationalisation of R&D activities within the European framework; - the role of public funds in supporting new technology projects; - the government policy issues related to the consulting services. |
