| Tiivistelmä: | This article shows that events which mhave occured since the regulation came into force have exposed problems in achieving the coherence, fairness and speed of decisions from a single source commended by Sir Leon, and have caused some difficulty with UK mergers policy. The article also suggests changes to the EC regulation which will both help achieve the desirable outcomes noted above when more than one takeover bid is made for a single company, and which will introduce a greater degree of compatibility with existing UK policy. |
