Tiivistelmä:While the current interest is perhaps more in how job satisfaction affects other variables, this study attempts to explain job satisfaction in its own right. As a starting point, the authors take a model of organizational turnover (Price and Mueller, 1986) that has job satisfaction as the first mediating variable in a system of causal linkages that eventually produce turnover. Using this model, improvements based on criticism of this model are introduced to revise the model that is then empirically assessed and evaluated.
