| Tiivistelmä: | Product testing or inspection plays an important role in a manufacturing process. As long as the process cannot assure zero defects, test operation should be used to screen out faulty products and to identify the problem. Also, product testing is considered as a 'non-value added' operation and should be eliminated, whenever possible. In many cases, this dilemma may be resolved by invoking an audit procedure. Under this procedure, only a portion of the products will be tested. As a part of product testing strategy, a good audit plan should increase productivity and decrease manufacturing cost. |
