Tiivistelmä:Alongside the prevaling principle of capital stock majority in joint stock companies the legislatiou has in some cases ensured certain rights also to the shareholders, who represent the minority yet reach a certain minimum (e.g. participation of 10 or 20 percents of the original capital); we speak of minority rights. Here it is necessary to point out, that there is no general right of minority as a structural part of joint stock company.Such rights exist only in the cases defined by statute. The majority is not firmly determined; it is formed case by case. The measure for qualification is mainly the share in the original capital; minority rights are therefore not identical with the right to vote. The article deals more in detail with the qualification of minority shareholders and individual cases of minority rights.
