| Tiivistelmä: | A partnership involving the University of Hertfordshire, the British Standards Institution and Norsk Hydro (UK) Ltd, and funded by the UK Environmental Know-How Fund, delivered the first environmental management training course for the urals Economic Region of Russia during November 1995. The course, largely based on the British Standard BS 7750, was attended by senior and middle managers representing industry, local authority, regulators and academic organisations. This article examines how industrial plans in the city of Kamensk-Uralsky are facing new environmental challenges. |
