Tiivistelmä:Capital penetration is the core concept of capital dependency theory. Because capital penetration is so important to the theory, Dixon and Boswell in "Dependency, Disarticulation, and Denominator Effects: another look at foreign capital penetration" measure it in two ways. Their preferred measure is the ratio of foreign stock to total stock. The author calls this measure PEN2 to distinguish it from the PEN measure used in earlier studies.
