| Tiivistelmä: | The empirical results show that the German auction market is not homogeneos, but consists of at least two different market segments. Some of the results prove the relevance of well known auction theoretic analyses while others give hints to modify the standard models of auction theory. The empirical findings can also be used to discuss possible regulations of real auctions (e.g., public licences for experts who are allowed to estimate the value of the items to be auctioned). |
