Tiivistelmä: | The article examines the influence of the increasing use of electronic media as distribution channels on financial industry. Special emphasis is put on the development of the relation between banks and their customers. The article points out the relevant technological as well as the juridical framework. Important developments and trends are shown based on an empirically study of 92 German banks. New coordination forms in the financial industry are illustrated by three core-scenarios. From these scenarios possible basic strategies for the introduction and futher development of electronic distribution channels are deduced. |
