| Tiivistelmä: | In June 1992 the governors of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) central banks put forward a proposal to launch a Caribbean Monetary Union (CMU) involving all members of CARICOM by the year 2000. The purpose of this paper is to examine whether the current proposals are necessary and sufficient to achieve the objectives of the governors of the central banks. |
