| Tiivistelmä: | The authors examine how the immigration of leaders possessing different skills, understandings, assumptions, and values can promote change within institutionalized organizationsand fields. The results indicate that American liberal arts colleges are more likely to adopt controversial professional programs during the 1970s and 1980s when led by presidents who have recently migrated either from colleges that had professional programs or from lower-status colleges. |
