Tiivistelmä: | This article deals with the relationship between corporate strategies or competitive strategies on the one hand and human resource strategies on the other hand. It is examined whether and in which way companies differ in their use of specific configurations of these strategies. On the grounds of a theory of internal labour markets and a concept of competitive strategies this paper formulates hypotheses and empirically evaluates them by means of a correspondence analysis. Data are generated via mailed questionnaire containing 137 firms in the construction sector. The paper finds that two typical configurations of human resource strategies and competitive strategies can be identified. These strategies are further described by characteristics of the internal and external corporate environment (original in German). |
