| Tiivistelmä: | The author defines the groups based on partner nationality, and nature of created shareholder value (positive - negative). The results reveal that differences in firm-specific characteristics depend only upon partner nationality, whereas differences in contextual characteristics vary with partner nationality as well as the nature of shareholder returns. Thus, contrary to the popular view, these findings suggest that contextual variables dominate the locus of differential shareholder value craetion in American parents. |
