| Tiivistelmä: | This study examines the impact of information technology (IT) on the supply chain through a survey of 225 large for-profit U.S. firms, focusing especially on the determination of IT antecedents (here as: antdts.) to IT impact on the supply chain and these relationships' effect on overall firm performance. The respondents are primarily chief information officers (CIO) and other top IT executives. The findings suggest that the antdts., IT department technical quality, IT plan utilization, and top management of IT positively affected IT impact on the supply chain. In addition, the results revealed a positive relationship btw. IT impact and firm performance. |
