| Tiivistelmä: | This article compares historical growth and productivity development in Finnish trade with that of the rest of the economy. The author takes a quantitative look at the labor productivity and its structural change to understand Finland´s poor performance in service productivity. The subject is important because the share of services in production is ever increasing and the so-called Baumol's Disease forecasts that overall productivity growth will slow down as resources shift to service industries. |
