| Tiivistelmä: | It is argued in this article that the agency structure inherent to most forms of financial intermediation gives rise to conflicts of interest (hereafter as: c-of-i.), which points out market imperfections. There are four types of c-of-i: i. personal-individual, ii. personal-organizational, iii. impersonal-individual, and iv. impersonal-organizational conflicts. Based on recent scandals' analyzes, it is found that in financial intermediation all four types of c-of-i. do prevail. |
