| Tiivistelmä: | The allocation of capital among various business activities within a bank has become more and more important as competition and regulatory pressure have increased. In contrast, the management policy of the UK banks is not that advanced. Most banks based their allocation system on the minimum regulatory system of the Bank of England and not on the needs of strategic management. Probably, the Securities and Investment Board wants to apply different rules on capital adequacy from used by the Bank of England. |
