| Tiivistelmä: | The impact of the introduction of new technology and a higher level of automation on people in the physical distribution sector is examined. The effects are evaluated while differentiating between skilled and unskilled workers and also between favorable and retrospective effects. Likely conflicts and their possible avoiding or solutions are analyzed. Necessary managerial and employee skills are defined,where both operational and psychological factors are widely considered. Guidelines are given for the ways of cooperation enabling higher productivity and better job satisfaction. |
