| Tiivistelmä: | The theoretical and practical importance of the concept of strategic business areas is emphasized. One of the main tasks of strategic management is to make clear the relationships between strategy and structure. Each business area must have the most suitable organizational form. Different sorts of line, matrix, and project organizations are dealt with. These give rise to a whole range of managerial problems. At the same time different opportunities are opened for specialization, delegation of authority and organizational solution of administrative tasks. According to the chosen solution will differ the conflicts, the advantages and the drawbacks. These all have to be evaluated for an appropriate compromise. |
