| Tiivistelmä: | Increasing competition requires high quality of production planning and control. In the past few years some new methods of production planning and control were proposed and tested to achieve this goal. These new approaches are systematized, described and the theoretical basis is illustrated. However none of the concepts dealt with can give a total regulation of production considering viewpoints of costs. The further development of production planning and control systems may be based on the transmission of hierarchical models which have only been applied to production structures simpler than those of manufacturing industry up to now. |
