| Tiivistelmä: | It is charged that many manufacturers have neglected to invest in new manufacturing technology, and have sacrificed their long-range competitiveness. A planning approach is suggested that recognizes that manufacturing technology and competitive equilibrium are constantly changing, therefore it recommends the monitoring of these changes to capture the exact moment when manufacturing technology modernization becomes due. This manufacturing technology planning requires the continual assessment of the deterioration of manufacturing technology with time. |
