Tiivistelmä:A method of identifying a functional culture and some steps for keeping that culture from turning elitist are given. After the definition of corporate culture and a value-based classification the evolution of culture types is described. Distinction is made among entrepreneurial, strategic, chauvinistic and exclusive cultures. Some dysfunctions produced by an elitist orientation coupled with charismatic leadership are presented. A brief mention is made of organizational subcultures and countercultures. Appropriate actions to shape the evolution of corporate culture are suggested.
