| Tiivistelmä: | There are several types of advisory boards: internal advisory councils; asset impact advisers; "placebo perch" positions; country club advisers; probationary farm club advisers; probationary farm clubs; internal advisory boards and multiple management boards; functional advisory boards; industry expertise boards; walking stick models; early-warning resources. Corporate advisory boards are not subject to the same liability exposure as directors. At the same time, they offer a valuable governance resource if they are properly nurtured. The following dimensions are very important: social cement; term of engagement; compensation; legal protection; conflict of interest and confidentiality; dedication of service. |
