| Tiivistelmä: | Supply chain management techniques deal with the planning and control of total materials flow from suppliers through end-users, and thus will stimulate a re-thinking of the myths of the past. Inventory myths versus realities are examined, and how to gain competitive advantage through supply chain management. Some case studies of supply chain techniques are selected, and some of the major barriers to a supply chain are focused upon. The analytical tools necessary to control complex supply chains are available and can give firms a competitive advantage in the markets they serve. |
