Tiivistelmä:Top executives note that good ethics is a prime corporate asset. It is deeply concerned with both moral values and moral actions. The general relationship between ethics and culture is highlighted. Organizational culture is defined. Different levels of culture and ethics are identified: behavioural manifestations; overt, exposed values; shared, internalized, automatic values. Written, corporate and industry codes of ethics are not effective unless confirmed day-in and day-out, year after year, by small and large actions and directions by the organization's managers. Four distinct, yet related processes of building a moral organizational culture are described.
