| Tiivistelmä: | The aim of the present contribution is to give a short history of epistemology. Economics today has achieved many results by using formal methods borrowed from the natural sciences. But this also brought about the fade-away of philosophical and ethical aspects. Changes in the ethics during the 17th and 18th century are presented and also the new economic view of Smith. |
