| Tiivistelmä: | the intercontinental accounting rates, especially for international telephone traffic have been the subject of discussions in telecommunications circles. The technological development and liberalization, and currency fluctuation have brought about a lot of changes.The past development of the accounting rate method is examined to understand why they cause difficulties for international carriers in the present environment. To achieve a realistic accounting rate an alternative approach is suggested. |
