| Tiivistelmä: | The growing body of literature dealing with just in time (JIT) manufacturing is mainly descriptive. In contrast, the present study develops and tests an explanatory model of JIT purchasing with an empirical field work. The basic hypotheses of the literature are followed, but some anomalies are found. A major result is the crucial role of choosing supplier or customer inventory as a dependent variable. |
