| Tiivistelmä: | Ethics is a behaviour that promotes human welfare as defined in both individual and societal terms. It is stated that economic moral theory values the behaviour of "the good person" only to the extent that it contributes to the self-interest of the firm. The executive is not a moral person in his or her own right, but a tool of a pre-defined utility. Individuals with strong moral and ethical values are not predictors of their ethical and moral behaviour in an organizational environment. The possibbility of "ethics and ethical behaviour" is more often determined by society's systems than by the individuals who are members of that society. |
