| Tiivistelmä: | A new framework, that compares international equity returns, separates local returns into two components: 1) one reflecting changes in earnings and 2) one changes in the price paid for earnings - then incorporates real exchange movements and dividend income. The common-currency returns obtained allow the analyst to separate changes in underlying characteristics from changes in markets' valuations of those characteristics. |
