| Tiivistelmä: | There has been a surge in the rate of mergers and acquisitions among business organizations operating in the economy of the USA. Firms are seeking partners that will provide them the necessary leverage to achieve their various growth and diversification goals. A multiattribute approach for evaluating acquisition partners is suggested. The appropriateness of this approach in the decision of one firm to acquire another firm is investigated using experimental methods. The context of the cosmetics industry is used in this empirical application. |
