| Tiivistelmä: | This article uses a pragmatist analysis approach to gain a better understanding of pricing and valuation. The particular case analyzed was an electronic stock exchange, Paris Bource, during the 1990s. The author reviews how a problem of representativeness of closing prices was raised in the late 1990s and how several techniques and innovations aimed at solving it. The review focuses on the material display of prices, on their capacity to stand as traces of some event, and on the way suit a set of calculative conventions. |
