| Tiivistelmä: | According to a recently taken resolution the limit within which the rate of exchange in the EMS may fluctuate is extended from 2,25 p.c. 15 p.c.The consequences of this decision on the process of integration are examined. The most important effects concerning the national monetary policy, economic policy are investigated. It is argued that the way to the economic and monetary union consists of two phases: 1. the establishment of the economic conditions; 2. the creation of the political framework. During the last decade the economic conditions have been established on the whole, but the minute details of the political framework are to be developed in the future. |
