| Tiivistelmä: | On January 1, 1993 the European single market will finally become a reality, raising a series of questions to be answered for many managers: What effects will the world's largest internal market have on the prospects of individual enterprises? What risks and chances will it bring? What changes are likely in European norms and market conditions? When can these changes be expected to take place? What measures should be adopted by management in enterprises to all sizes in order to remain or become more competitive? Should there be an active contribution to integration? In an attempt to answer these questions, the author briefly outlines the objectives of the single market and suggests that January 1, 1993 should be regarded as a process. |
