| Tiivistelmä: | Japan's textile MACHINERY INDUSTRY industry can now compete on an equal basis with European and American makers in terms of technology and machine performance. It even surpasses its Western counterparts in some machine types. Japanese textile machines are exported to over 100 countries of the world from 1987 to 1991. Then the preference of users shifted to synthetic fibers. Reflecting this trend, production of textile machines surpassed 400 billion yens in 1989 mainly thanks to brisk exports. |
