| Tiivistelmä: | The textile industry is faced with the challenges from both at home and abroad. They include the competitive pressure caused by the change in worldwide textile market and the change of domestic economic structure, which presses the textile industry for restructure. The critical actions to be taken for readjustment include: cutting down the total number in cotton-spinning sector that is in surplus at the moment; curbing the processing capacity of natural fabric such as silk and wool; stopping permitting and building new projects to process silk, cashmere or ox fine hair; and developing chemical fiber industry towards scale operation. |
