| Tiivistelmä: | This article gives an introduction to the second Global Entrepreneurship Research Conference focused on exploring the relationship between entrepreneurship, economic growth and public policy in different stages of economic development. Based on GEM micro-and-macro data several policy recommendations are introduced. For middle-income countries it is recommended to increase human capital, to upgrade technology availability and to promote enterprise development. Meanwhile, developed economies should take into consideration that decreasing entry regulations alone may not be sufficient, and labor market reform in addition to deregulation of financial markets may be needed to support growth of profitable ventures. |
