| Tiivistelmä: | This report deals with the French food market and industry which, in line with most European countries, has developed substantially over the past years. The concept of fast food is not too easy to define, as it isn't always possible to distinguish btw. a theme restaurant and a fast food outlet. For the purposes of the report, fast food restaurants are restricted to quick-serve chains with standard menus generally offering a take-away and home delivery services. The French market currently comprises three main sectors: pizza and burger chains, and sandwich / viennoiserie kiosks. This report excludes traditional bakers. |
