| Tiivistelmä: | Chief executives are bombarded with statistics stating that half of merger deals fail, yet there is little research that explains why some deals succeed and others fail. PA Consulting Group´s survey ´Realising the value of acquisitions´ reveals significant differences between the approaches to post-merger integration taken by Nothern European firms and those in the UK/US. A key finding is the contrast between a US/UK focus on the pursuit of shareholder value and the more consensual approach favoured in Northern Europe. |
