Tiivistelmä: | The results of an empirical study of interpersonal skills are presented in the paper. Analysis was conducted in a German aerospace firm. The investigation included 117 managers. To determine the specific project-management characteristics, a comparison was made between 56 senior project managers and control group of 59 senior staff employees. Both groups had interpersonally defined problems. Only 12% of the senior project managers spent less than half of their working time cooperating with other people, whereas 31% of senior staff members fell into this category. The managers reported the following four areas of interpersonal problems: influence and motivation, conflicts, teamwork and cooperation, communications. The detailed analysis of this problems and standards for personal-development are described. |
