| Tiivistelmä: | This article deals with a theoretical framework for sustainable development. The author defines sustainable development as a balanced socioeconomic development compatible with environmental conservation. To begin with, the author argues against the short-run macroeconomics. He also takes issue with the classical paradigm of development consisting of Self-Interest and Invisible Hand. He then elaborates on his value premises consisting of basic assumptions and general features relevant to a new paradigm for sustainable development. |
