| Tiivistelmä: | There is an important project within the humanization of working life programme in the Federal Republic of Germany,which deals with the application of flexible manufacturing systems,including industrial robot systems. Survey data and practical application cases are described. The observed main characteristics of the foregoing applications are: rationalization effects are highly valued;support of the manufacturers when robot systems were introduced could be observed; the application of robot systems is often isolated; system capabilities could be better used; there is an urgent need of raising operators' qualification; improvements in working conditions regularly accompany the application of robot systems. |
