| Tiivistelmä: | As perestroika recedes further and further into distance it is passing from the shere of direct political discussion and political battle into the field of scholarly research. During the years of its existence the policy of perestroika was both an object of general delight and sharp criticism. This article analyses the interrelationship and mutual influence of the economic and political problems of 1985-91, the years which mark the chronological beginning and end of perestroika. |
