| Tiivistelmä: | Bell and Rostowski (1995) undertake an empirical test of Podkaminer's Hypothesis that administered food prices in Poland during the period 1965-78 were substantially higher, and the administered prices of both durables and services were substantially lower, than their equilibrium levels (Podkaminer, 1982,1987). In summary, the queues, waiting lists and other evidence of formalised rationing in Poland during this period were considered by Podkaminer to be evidence of the long and persistent disequilibrium of the Polish market. |
