Tiivistelmä: | Institutional and behavioural continuity might seem an odd theme to apply to the development of Russia's banking system. Although many of them are descended from the specialised state banks created in the late 1980s, Russia's commercial banks are generally seen as "new" phenomena, products of the market economy rather than privatised creatures of central planning: the observer has called the banking sector the most advanced as far as the progress of market reforms is concerned. |
