| Tiivistelmä: | This paper focuses on the lumpy demand forecasting problem that involves the challenge of meeting extremely irregular demands both in terms of the temporal irregularity of the cycle and its intensity. Findings show that item lumpiness is the dominant parameter and show that demand forecasting for lumpy items is a complex problem. |
