Tiivistelmä:The consequences of the socioeconomic transition for male physical health in Russia (here as: R.) are widely documented. However, less examined are psychological (hereafter as: ps-al.) well-being (here as: w-b.) and mental outlook and differences (as: diffs.) btw. men and women in R. This study explores gender diffs. G-diffs. in the social determinants of perceived ctrl. highlight the importance of gender roles for understanding ps-al. stress and inform how social expectations differentially influence men's and women's paths to w-b. in R.
