| Tiivistelmä: | Two hypotheses readily come to mind for the recent spate of game theory texts. On the supply side, perhaps a large cohort of game theorists has matured to the stage at which pedagogy pays; prolific researchers pause to bear their contributions to the classroom. On the demand side, perhaps game theory itself has matured; a new consensus creates a desire for new textbooks. Both hypotheses are supported by this new text by Osborne and Rubinstein. If game theory has matured, it has done so only recently (recent Nobel prizes notwithstanding). |
